Privacy

Australian Sailing recognises that privacy is important and providing personal information is an act of trust. Australian Sailing takes that seriously, and will manage your Information only in accordance with its Privacy Policy available at: https://www.sailing.org.au/about/privacy-policy/

Individuals must promptly advise their Affiliated Club of any change of name, address or other relevant identification and contact details, either in writing or electronically.

Individuals acknowledge and consent to Australian Sailing’s use of their personal information for the purpose of sending electronically or by other means, newsletters from Australian Sailing and Affiliated Clubs, which may include information of sponsors or other third parties.

Boat Storage Rules and Conditions

A storage fee ceiling of two boats will apply for those members storing boats for themselves and for their non-working dependents (children).

1. Storage Shed Access Rules: Generally access will not be allowed outside club operational hours. Club members will not be provided with shed keys. Access to the shed will be controlled and be at sole discretion of club executive or any other member/s appointed by the Club at a general meeting to be a custodian of keys. Custodians to make members having access outside normal hours aware of access rules and that shed must be kept locked when not in shed.

2. General Storage Rules: Application to store boats in storage shed must be made each year. Storage will not be allowed until application is approved by CRSC executive. Owners of any boat stored in storage shed must be a full financial member of the club. Any boat accepted for storage must be raced. The club reserves the right, after serving notice on owner, to remove any boat from the storage shed. Upon removal subject boat will be delivered to member’s last known address.

  • Boats will be removed from shed at the club's executive discretion where: Membership fees remain unpaid longer than one month after due date. Storage application either not received or not approved by Club. Boat does not compete in at least 50% of recognised club events. Boat repeatedly stored in an unacceptable manner.
  • Security of yachts and equipment stored in shed is the responsibility of the individual owners. The club will ensure that shed is locked but does not accept responsibility for any breakages and or theft of equipment through unlawful entry or other means.
  • All boats must be stored in the space allocated by the club. Any boat not stored correctly will be liable for a fine or requested to be removed from storage shed.
  • No modification to sheds storage rack system will be allowed. Any protective padding required will be provided by yacht owner.
  • All members’ equipment is to be clearly marked with owner’s or boat’s identification. Boats may only be stored in cradles or trolleys acceptable to the CRSC executive and be compatible with shed's permanent racking system. Cradles or trolleys are to be provided by the individual boat owner. Generally storage of boats on trailers will not be permitted. If approved an additional surcharge of 50% will apply.
  • Boat repairs and maintenance will generally not be allowed on the premises.
  • Preference for allocation of storage space will be given to: Club boats. Financial members’ boats that are regularly sailed in club events. Junior members’ boats. Class boats recognised by the Club sailing committee.

3. Flood Event Conditions: All boats and ancillary equipment must be removed during flood events. Decision to evacuate shed will be at sole discretion of Club's executive. In most cases this decision will be triggered when a flood of 1.5 m at Prince Street Gauge is expected. Wherever possible any decision to evacuate the shed will be announced on the club’s website, email or over local radio stations. Owners are responsible for removal of their boat(s) and equipment and are expected to assist in the evacuation. Any boat removed by the club must be taken by the owner to their own property. Under no circumstances will boats be allowed to remain on the Salty Sellar Reserve or along its street frontage.
